It starts with the soft tinkling of the reindeer bells breaking the silence as it picks you up from your accommodation (skidoo for the groom), to take you to our special outdoor wooden wedding chapel located by the snowy ski slopes of Luosto Fell.
With your permission we will advise the other passengers of the marriage arrangement, a number generally attend the ceremony and throw confetti etc and help make the occassion a very atmospheric one.

Wedding Reception
For the wedding reception most couples choose to have a meal at Kertulli’s, a small restaurant specialising in Lappish Cuisine. It is able to cater for 2-90 people for a 3 course meal and is fully licensed. We will take care of your reservation for you and on your arrival in Luosto co-ordinate your menu choice etc. If you have a special wish please call us and we will endeavour to make it come true.

Legal Requirements
The only Christian religion in Lapland is Lutheran. Lutheran priests may only provide a blessing for members of other religions undertaking ceremonies in Lapland and therefore you must agree to be married in a civil ceremony. A series of documents will be required and details of the paperwork will be forwarded to you. Canterbury Travel will provide you with information and instructions in completing paperwork required.

Wedding fee
There is a nominal fee of £250.00 to cover the cost of the 2 certificates /mileage allowance for the registrar/administration fees etc. is charged to cover administration, candles and co-ordination of your special day.
Full information will be sent out to you with your confirmation. This charge is in addition to the cost of the tour you decide to choose.
The extras you will need to pay for will be the additional services such as reindeer & sleigh transfers to the venue etc etc which you may choose to book.
